We are a Dublin couple looking for a minder or nanny for our two kids - a 3 year old boy and 1 year old girl - beginning end of March/start of April. Our son attends montessori in the mornings and will need to be collected (term time only). The position is for four days a week, probably 8.30am to 4.30pm. Details to be finalised but the day off will probably be Wednesday. Additional days or evening babysitting would be available for extra pay if you wish. We currently live in Portobello. The montessori is in Terenure, a car or bus ride away. There is no parking available at Portobello, but you could drive our car. We are looking for someone who loves kids, will be kind and gentle and look after the kids with energy, creativity and good humour. Excellent Irish references and fluent English will be essential, and a full clean drivers licence is desirable. Some light (child-related) housework and cooking will be involved, but we do not expect you to be a cleaner/housekeeper. We are open to a childminder who minds kids in their own home, but understand this might not work with the montessori pick-up. Although the position is initially based in Portobello, we will be moving to Harolds Cross hopefully later this year.
