Dear Family, My name is Isabela, I'm a 25 year old student from Brazil and I've been living in Dublin since February. It has been a great experience, I really like Ireland and its people! In this moment I work as a volunteer at a charity shop in Dublin 1 and I have been enjoying it a lot, because I have discovered that I can be also an excellent shop assistant. I have been very helpful to my boss during this time that I am in the store, always taking a proactive stance, suggesting changes and making the changes. Besides being always attentive to the needs of our customers. But, I am passionate about kids and I would like to have the experience of working as childminder or au pair live out. Whenever I go to the park, I enjoy to watch the kids play and I like to play with them. This makes me happy! So I'm looking for a family that would be happy to have me with them and work for them. When it comes to childcare experience, I have looked after children in informal contexts. I have been helping my friends take care of their children while I was in Brazil. I did this because I love being around children, I always have fun with them. I’m very kind and patient with children, but I know how to be firm when it’s needed, in order to keep the adequate discipline. I come from a family of 4: my mother is a primary school teacher, my father is self employed and my older brother works at a multinational company from Brazil as Industrial electrician. I hold an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and I am post-graduated in Logistics. I used to work as Office Assistant in my field in Brazil. I came to Ireland in order to improve my English skills, as well as because I have decided to get out of my comfort zone and to face new challenges. I have a pre-intermediate English. But I have studied English since February in this year, at Frances King School of English and I have improved my English constantly. So, to achieve my goals I intend to stay in Dublin until in middle of next year. In despite my English level, I can help children with their homework if it’s needed. In my spare time, I take pleasure in studying, being with my friends, visiting different places in Dublin and going for walks in parks when the weather allows me to. I am available to work in the afternoon or in the evening after 1 pm and I can work on weekends as well, when it will be necessary.
