Dear Host Family, My name is Victória and I’m 18 years old. I’m from Lençóis Paulista, a small city in the countryside of São Paulo, Brazil. I came to Dublin in May and I’m loving it here so far. Since I was a child I always had easy time to make new friends. I enjoy meeting new people and dealing with their differences. It’s amazing to think that each one has their own story and I ‘m making part of it. I believe by having facility to meet new people and be connected to my family will help me a lot during the Au Pair program. I have a brother and a sister, both younger than me (16 and 15 years old). We used to cook deserts together, watch films, series and play games. My parents are divorced since I was 12 and this is not a problem for me, I get along well with them. My mom is a kids teacher. We’re very close, she helps and supports me anytime and she’s very happy with my decision to be an Au Pair. My dad is worried about me living by myself in a new country but he’s proud of me because I had the courage to do so. I have helped my neighbor to take care of her son when he was 6 months old. I had to change him, feed, give baths and play. Sometimes his brother (3 years old) joined us. Also, as my mom is a teacher sometimes I went to her school and played, painted, taught numbers, geometric forms and colors to hers students. I’m a very chilly and patient person. Among my favorite hobbies are listening to music, reading books, cooking, watching shows and movies, traveling, surfing on internet and go out with my friends. I just finished high school and came to Dublin to improve my English. When I return to Brazil, my priority will be start College, with a lot of amazing experiences on baggage, and a lot more mature. I don’t know what I want to study yet, but I think of being an English teacher or international relationship. About my future, I’m sure I want to do this Au Pair program to know a new family, befriending children and teach them new things every day. Grow along with their children, will be very enjoyable, help them in the duties and see them becoming better people every day will make me very happy. I like to take good things for people and with my Host Family will be no different. I also want to see new places, cultures and having incredible experiences in another country. I have never traveled so far and I know it will add a lot in my life experience. I would like to thank the family that will pick me.
