We are seeking an experienced carer/healthcare worker or special needs assistant to mind our two children in our home in the Blessington area. Our daughter (E) has a rare neuromuscular condition. She is currently exclusively tube fed and requires nocturnal BiPAP. Our daughter is progressing really well and is currently ten months old. E is a bright, sweet and calm baby who enjoys playing with her toys on the floor, watching her brother and chewing on everything! She smiles, giggles and enjoys going for walks and watching the world go by. Our son (G) is 3.5years old and attends preschool 5 days a week (8.30am to 1pm). G is fun loving, chatty and easy going. Ideally we seek an experienced carer who enjoys working with babies/children and has experience with disability. We seek a carer who will love E and G and work with us to bolster their development while I return to work 4 days a week (3 working from home). The carer/nanny will be required to take care of E's medical needs while at the same time ensure she is appropriately stimulated and content like any other infant. While E is tube fed, she also takes some purees by mouth. The carer does not need to be trained with tube feeding (Ng/peg) as this training will be provided by our Jack and Jill nurse. The ideal candidate will help troubleshoot any issues E may have and flag any concerns. The ideal candidate will work with me to observe E's development to identify any progression or regression in her condition. The candidate will work from our home and ideally will be comfortable doing light housework, keeping tabs on medical supplies and suggest any changes/improvements to the kids routine. They should be happy to get out with the kids eg walks/playground or library. Myself and my husband (farmer) work from home and we are always on hand to support you.
