We are looking for a caring, responsible and experienced childminder to care for our two young girls, 5 and 16 months, part time. We would like you to have at least 2 years experience in child care with references. You must love children and be mature, reliable, trustworthy, punctual and patient. If you love spending time outdoors and creativity, that is a huge bonus! You will be required to work from our home, 3 days a week. We would consider someone who’s home is nearby. There may be some flexibility required, and extra days, during busy work times (Mom works for a festival), but the majority of the time it will be the same 3 days a week every week. Eldest will need to be picked up from the Jes in September. There may be occasional evenings/weekends if you so wish, for which you will be paid extra. These are optional. We are a non-smoking household and would prefer a non-smoker. We also have a dog, so someone who is ok with dogs is preferred. Your responsibilities will include: - caring for the girls and keeping them stimulated and safe. - some very light occasional housekeeping (folding laundry and toy pick-up) and simple food prep (lunch and snacks) for the girls. A driver’s licence is not necessary as we are walking distance to the school, playground and beach, and also walking distance to the centre of town. A Certificate in Child Care will be highly regarded but not necessary if you have proven experience and good references. Knowledge of first aid and child safety preferable.
