Hello! We are looking for a regular weekday childminder for our two daughters, aged 6 and 3. This is a longer-term position starting in August/September. The children are in school and ECCE, so this is an afternoon position. Hours of either 11.30 or 12.30 to 5 or 6pm, with the minding taking place in our house in Ranelagh. Besides encouraging development and learning, playing and having fun, responsibilities will include school pick ups, lunch, preparing snacks, facilitating playdates, and other day to day minding. We are expecting some light housework, primarily tidying up after lunch and play, folding kids’ laundry and helping them keep their bedrooms tidy. We would hope that you regularly take the children out for a walk or play in the local park, or spend some time in the back garden. As lunch is the biggest meal in our house, you could start earlier if you are happy to prepare the lunch. If not, we will handle it, and you can start at 12.30. Additional optional babysitting hours will be available if you wish, and paid separately. We are hoping to find someone who is responsible, committed, punctual, organised, and has initiative. We are seeking a minimum of 3-years’ experience; candidates with a childcare qualification are preferred, and references are essential. This will be a well-paid position for the right person, with rate dependent on experience. We have a degree of flexibility – both in terms of hours and days, so we could modify the working hours.
