We are a professional couple looking for an experienced, patient, caring and responsible nanny/childminder to care for our 2 girls, aged 6 and 8 years old in our home. Our home is located within walking distance of the national school that our two girls attend. The house is close to Deerpark and Mount Anville Secondary School. We are looking for someone part-time, Monday to Thursday during school terms (from 1 pm to 6pm). We may also look for care occasionally on Friday afternoons (once every 6 weeks), by agreement where convenient for the nanny/childminder. We would also ideally like this person to be available to work full days from Monday to Thursday (8am to 6pm) during school holidays if this is at all possible. We can be flexible on how the holiday arrangement would work as the girls will attend summer camps for some part of the time during the holidays. Your responsibilities will include: Collection of the girls from school (collection time is 2:30pm, school is within walking distance); occasional collection from after school activities / play dates, empty lunchboxes, preparation of lunch and snacks for the children; Supervising homework; preparation of dinner for the family and some light housework and general cleaning; and occasional errand running and shopping. We are looking for someone who is creative, fun, who loves children and has some experience working in a busy home. A full drivers licence would be preferable as the girls may need to be driven to some afterschool activities. We also have a little dog that we would want to be let out and fed during the day and to be taken for a walk if time and weather permits. You will need to be garda vetted, and references which can be checked. We look forward to hearing from you.
