We are looking for a childminder starting in a month’s time (can be a little later if needed) to care for a 10-year-old girl and two boys aged 7 and 4. We're looking for someone who has either a full EU/EEA driving licence or has a licence from a recognised state (see here - https://www.ndls.ie/holders-of-foreign-licences.html#holders-of-licences-issued-by-recognised-states). As the school is a [removed] minute walk (for little legs) this is an essential requirement. A car will be provided. However, if you have your own car and are happy to use it we would pay an additional amount to cover the travel costs. The working hours are half days (14.00 – 18.00 or 12.[removed].00 depending on minder's preference) during the school term and preferably full-time during the school holidays (or at least some additional hours). The school pick-up time is 14.15 in Monkstown for the older two. The youngest can be collected at either 12.30 or directly after the school pick up at 14.30 in a crèche nearby. The main tasks would be to supervise homework, bring them to any after school activities (e.g. swimming) and to prepare the dinner (simple enough meals). The kids have been at a crèche and have been very happy there but our daughter has outgrown it. They are all very excited at the prospect of a minder!!! At least one year of child-minding experience would be preferable but what’s most important to us is to find someone who is kind, caring and trustworthy - the skills can be learnt along the way. The kids love arts and crafts and are more talented than Mum or Dad so someone with any level of skill/interest would easily win them over. Anyone who can get the older two to be a bit more outdoorsy and active will win Mum and Dad over!
