Hello world! My name is Sandy. I'm 26 shortly, and a public relations graduate from the IT. I worked in the college as welfare officer, and worked very closely with students who needed help and support for two years. I've decided my passion lies in children, and I'm currently studying to teach English abroad as a foreign language. I'm studying to earn certificates in child safeguarding, child psychology, play therapy, and I've recently completed a course on cognitive behaviour therapy. I'm passionate about children's welfare! I'm currently learning the ukele (fun times) and I'm in the process of being trained to become a Scout leader here in Carlow. I am also volunteering weekly with the Polish Equal Chances school. I have done some work with the Christmas shoebox appeal over the years and was lucky enough to go visit some of the children receiving shoeboxes in Kosovo twice. This is where I realised my heart belonged to children. I'm working full time at the moment, but I need something which allows me to follow up on my volunteering and studies. I have been told I have a way with kids and I would hope that I could be a fun and trustworthy role model in your child's life. I am very much interested in helping with homework, and as I continue to study play therapy, I would love to do some crafts down the road. Of course I'll have my ukele with me too! I am a non smoker and only live a short distance from the town.
