My name is Mary, I have 12 years experience working with adults and children with Intellectual Disabilities. I have worked in residential homes with the support of nursing staff. I gained valuable skills and knowledge under the guidance of Nursing Staff with a person centred approach to client care. I learned to promote independence and use techniques to encourage valuable communication opportunities. I have supported individuals during personal care, assisting with feeding and social activities. I have gained experience in managing behaviours that challenge.
