Dear Family, I am currently on my final year at Liverpool John Moore's University, studying Early Childhood Studies (Level 6). Throughout my background of growing up in foster care I have gained a great passion for working with families and children. My adoptive mother fosters and respites children between the ages of 3-12years which I love to help look after. I have a huge passion for creativity, helping others and promoting a positive lifestyle. My hobbies include creative cooking, art, dance, fitness and researching personal development. I am currently setting up a website to help families and individuals develop a healthy and happy lifestyle. I would be more than honoured to be your help in hand and to bring some extra happiness and energy to your family. EXPERIENCE As I come from a fostered background I have moved households many time and learnt to adapt to many families and lifestyles. I not only help my adoptive mother with the children she now fosters but I have also gained much experience with working with children in other settings. June-Sept, 2017- I worked as a teacher in America for 3 months. I worked with a class of up to thirty children aged 3-7 years old. The classes I provided/assisted with included, arts and crafts, dance, swimming, sports and music. Whilst working here I ensured that all injuries and health and safety requirements were seen to, as well as teaching the children basic hygiene such as washing their hands after using the bathroom. Jan-Feb, 2018- I worked on placement as an English teacher at a Nursery school in Thailand. I used creative and engaging ways to teach basic English to a class of twenty 3-5 year old children. This included showing the children animal figures whilst's they repeated the English names for them. Oct-Dec, 2018- I gained work experience in a local care home. Whilst on working here I gained vital experience of how to handle looked-after children's medication and documents. In all my experiences of working with children I have had positive feedback explaining that I bring positive energy to the environment and have been a pleasure to work with. WHY I WOULD LIKE TO BE A CHILDMINDER/ BABYSITTER My ambition to work as a childminder/babysitter for the next chapter of my life is to enhance my experience and knowledge with how to help families and children. I love working and learning with children to create a positive impact on their holistic development. I understand from my mothers experiences of looking after children, that a busy household would appreciate extra support. I would like to be the person who can lift some weight of your shoulders, as I did with her.
