Hello! My name is Amelia and I am 26 years old. Let me tell you a bit about myself: After graduating high school with a profile in sciences and modern languages, I studied a Bachelor's in archaeology. Afterwards I went on to work in sales on cruise ships, as I wanted to travel, which led to me reorienting my career prospects and obtaining a Bachelor's in marketing just last summer. I moved to Dublin in September to study a Master's in public relations. I was born and raised in Belgium, though thanks to my Canadian mother and New Zealand father, English is my native language. I am also fully fluent in Dutch. I am able to communicate reasonably fluently in French and German. Thanks to my language skills I have worked as a freelance translator throughout my studies, and as an English tutor. I have always enjoyed working with children; my very first job back in high school was as a babysitter. I still can spend many hours browsing the children's section of a book store to find stories to read to my three young nephews. I was certified as a youth worker by the Flemish government in 2007. I worked as a children's animator for the city of Leuven's holiday programmes for four years. The children ranged in ages from 2 to 16. I worked as an English tutor for around four to five hours per week for four years. I taught students aged 10 to 16. The material covered included grammar, syntax, spelling, pronunciation, reading and listening comprehension. I am free to work evenings and weekends. Ideally I would like to work around 10 hours per week, so I am unlikely to be interested in positions which require more than that. I love cats, but unfortunately I am highly allergic to them, so households with a feline presence are not an option. Any other pets are no issue. I am a non-smoker.
