I am currently in my second year training to be a primary school teacher with Maynooth University. I have completed placements with senior infants, second class and fourth class which has taught me a lot about children's educational and care needs at different ages. I believe in the holistic education of a child which is why I always try to organise a different, fun, interactive activity for the children I babysit for. From making lava lamps to taking part in treasure hunts to writing our own songs, we've done it all! I have also babysat for local families for over three years now and have built up a fantastic friendship with the children! The children have become more like my siblings who I love looking after! I worked at Gaeltacht summer camps for three years where I work with children from 11-18 for three weeks of the summer. As part of an enthusiastic team, we organised bus schedules, lunches, classes and activities for 600+ children. Three weeks living with fifteen 13 year olds may sound exhausting but I have always loved every second of it!
