My name is Maynara, but my friends call me May. I am 24 years old. I’m from Brazil, São Paulo. Currently I'm studying in the the afternoon in Oscar international, so I'm just available to babysit I the mornings or in the evening. In Brazil I live with my parents and my grandparents. I’m the only child but I have a cousin who I consider my sister, named Vitoria (17 years old), she is always with me. My mother’s name is Ivanilza, my father Domingos, my grandmamma Iraci, and my Grandpapa João. I’m closer to my mother’s family than my father, a small family: two aunts and their husbands, and two cousins. I have great relationship with my family. They are an example for me, and I admire them very much. They are my life and I owe them all that I am. They couldn’t have educated me better. My friends and my family say that I’m God-fearing, cheerful, caring, polite, friendly, responsible, patient, a flexible person and other things. I graduated in Chemical Production Engineering. In my free time, I like to read books, stay with my family and friends, watching movie and series, go to gym, going to the park to walk, cycling, to do picnic, travel. I’m Adventist Seventh Day, and On Saturday morning I go to church. My experiences: - My last experience it was in U.S where I was a au pair in a family with a baby (6 months). - In Brazil I took care of my cousin since she was born (December/2016 - March/2017). - I took care of a friends's daughter about 3 times a week 8 hours a day. - I was a counselor for children ages 6 to 15 (about 6 kids), a Pathfinder club and the Adventurer's Club, which are two Seventh-day Adventist Church projects. (We did camps, we went to the parks, I read books, and told stories, we did scoundrels, we played ball, we played) Take care of children made me learn a lot like to be patient and understand their actions. Each child taught me something that I will take for my life. I had the opportunity to take care of several different ages. I already liked English language and had a dream to travel from exchange, but only when I entered college I saw that it would be necessary to know the language very well, (because in my course is indispensable the English). Then, I looked for ways to travel, and most pleasurable way I found was as au pair. Why? Because I love children! I see the simplicity with which they live, without fear of making mistakes or being happy, they teach many things to us, and I love to learn with them. I decided to be an Au Pair because I am sure this experience will make me grow as a human and as professional. Studying and work in the USA will be perfect to my professional life, I like to get out of the routine and learn new things. I want to learn about American culture and share experiences with you. I want to do my best to take care of your children, as if they were my own. I like to see them growing and developing, like learning to eat, walking, playing, drawing, make an account, it enchants me, and when I have the opportunity to participate it, I felt so proud. I really want to make the difference in your lives and the lives of your children.
