I am Maria del Mar Sempere, a graduated in Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Alicante, having been specialised in English as the main language of my degree. I am from Spain and I currently live in Santa Pola, a small town in Alicante (south-east). I’m full of energy and since I finished my studies in June 2016 I have not stopped yet. In August 2016 I began a new experience, I went to Ireland to work as an Au pair for a lovely Irish family that helped me to know their culture and to improve my personal growing. I minded three little girls (7, 5, 3 y.o) who were amazing, they were rather interest in everything, above all, in Spanish words so that, I usually tought them Spanish language. At the same time, they helped me with my English (C1 by Cambridge Examinations at the moment), they were the perfect English teachers! Even now we are still in contact, they were my family and those girls were a bit “mine” too, at least I feel so. In case you would like to have references, I’m sure they could give it to you. That is why I believe that working hand-in-hand with children from different cultured is the best way to appreciate and give them the accurate value and respect to the cultural diversity.
