Hi I wish to apply for the HomeCare Assistant position as I feel I would have the relevant experience and skills you need to be the carer you require I have direct lifelong experience as a carer to my son 26 with Autism, I am caring patient and good in a crisis and possess very practical care skills in terms of personal care and enabling a person toward independent living and skills I have also trained in Rpm Assistive Communication technique through the Halo Organisation in Austin Texas and have 6yrs practical experience enabling my non-verbal son to communicate and follow an Academic programme through the use of an open letterboard I also think fast on my feet and have a good sense of humour I am trained as an SNA and have worked in an Autism classroom in an Educate Together school in Glasnevin Dublin 9 I have recently undertaken and successfully completed an online training course in Fetac Level 5 Care Skills and Care Of the Older Person with Chevron Training School I have excellent refs and Garda vetted I also have my own transport and a full licence Thank You for your consideration of my application Sincerely Annette O Carolan
