I was studying theatre, when I realized my vocation is to take care of people. I am Brazilian and I love children. I started teaching and babysitting when I was fifteen. Since then I expanded my background teaching kids, adults and even the elderly. At the time I was in a teaching training course focused on theatre I realized my interest was teaching young learners. I am very patient, friendly, committed and organized. I know how to cook, tidy up, take children to the bathroom and feed them. My life as a teacher started when my classmates and I created a play to present to younger children from another school and decided to teach them theatre. One year after that, when I was sixteen, I was in charge of taking care of children at my school when they parents had meetings there. Those parents also hired me to babysit their kids at weekends. In 2013 I started teaching English after I had lived a while in Ireland and Germany. While I was at university, I taught mostly adults and even created a workshop for adults over sixty. In 2015 I went to Romania and studied at the Faculty of Pedagogy for six months. When I went back to Brazil I created, as part of my dissertation research, a short theatre course for kids at the age of twelve and fourteen. Then I went back to teach English, this time for kids. They were from de ages of four to twelve. They brought me so much joy. I loved being at school with them, watching their learning process and development. I learnt a lot during my period in that school, because I could create diverse activities to engage them and was able to help the kids when difficulties appeared. I also studied storytelling and could tell the young learners marvelous stories. I am so glad to have been given the opportunity to work with those children. They taught me as much as I taught them or even more. I hope to keep taking care of other children and participate in their growth process.
