Hi there! I'm Savannah, I am currently studying abroad from the United States, I will be in Ireland, Galway for the year. I have a long and very experienced journey working with children. My work started when I was a young girl, about 13. My next door neighbor was having trouble watching after her four young children, I started coming over and helping out. Soon I became the families 'mommy's helper'. I would head over after school and help the children with homework, play with them, get them washed and ready for bed. A few years later, after being CPR certified at the water-park I worked at, I became the neighborhoods babysitter. I babysat for local families for years, including a two week period of nannying for my cousin's children. What sets me apart from other sitters is that I strive to build relationships with the kids. I would not merely put the television on and leave them be, I like to be involved with them. I would love to have them show me their games, preform crafts and activities with them and most importantly ensure their care and safety. Currently, I am a substitute teacher for my local middle school (primary school) when I am home from college on breaks. I love being a substitute teacher, it allows me to help the children in a fun yet success style. To further my experience here in Ireland, I have become a tutor at a local Galway primary school, Scoil Bhride. The experience is out of this world, I absolutely love working with the children.
