I am from the states but have been living in Ireland that past three years. A little about myself: My undergraduate degree was in child and family studies in which I learned about human lifespan development and household management. I just finished my master’s in occupational therapy at the University of Limerick and am looking for an opportunity to work with children whilst I undergo the registration process in which I will graduate at the end of August. I previously worked in a paediatric clinic for a year, in which I interacted with children of varied abilities on a daily basis. I also was recently on work placement at the paediatric primary care center in Galway in which I worked with children on gaining independence with everyday tasks, such as dressing, eating and improving their handwriting skills. I found his work to be very rewarding as I observed children’s confidence increase as they gained skills. I am interested in gaining employment in the pediatric field once I am a registered occupational therapist as I absolutely enjoy being around children. I also currently teach English part-time online to children aged 5-12, and enjoy the virtual interactions I have with them. I find engaging with children from a different culture very interesting and enjoy the cultural exchanges throughout the lessons. I am First-Aid/ CPR certified and have been Garda vetted by the University of Limerick.
