Dear Hostfamily, my name is Miriam, I am 24 years old and I am from Italy. I live in Verona, the city of LOVE (Romeo and Giuliet were from here). It is a lovely city with all its comfort but I also like living in a quiete small village. We are in 4 in my family: my dad, who is working in an office for Woltsvagen; my brother, who is working as psychomotrist with babies and my sister, who is working as kindergarten’s teacher. My mother is not with us anymore because she passed away last January. We also have a little dog, his name is Giotto. He is full of energy and very sensitive dog. I go out with him for playing outdoor for hours and when we come back home he wants to play again! He was very important for my mother, when she was very sick he never left her alone. When I was younger my father wanted me to do sport so I started to go to swimming classes. Then with my siblings we tried karate and we loved it so much that we’d done that for 12 years. I can play volleyball as well and I love playing games outdoor. I love cooking. My high school was a culinary science high school. Even though I prefer to make cakes, buiscuits, muffins I like cook every type of food too. I am an organised, energetic, careful, patience person. When I was just four years old my mother started to be sick and my family and I started to take care of her. She needed the same attention as a kid would need. I took care of her for 20 years and this made me maturer, more responsible and comprehensive. I also used to babysit my 2 little cousins, they were 4 and 5 years old at that time. We spent all the time playing outdoor, cooking, singing, reading, drawing. I love making baby laugh, play with them and make them happy. It is the most satisfying thing. I studied English for 6 months in Dublin, from last October till April. I lived with an Irish host family. it was a beautiful experience. I felt part of the family, we did lot of things together. I will definitely visit them for a cup of coffee. I’m working as an au pair at the moment. I’m minding 3 kids but I’ll leave them the first weekend of October. I would like to continue the experience in Ireland with another family. I am free to talk to you mornings and evenings. I look forward to hearing from you. Miriam
