About JobBack to Top
Looking for carer for 15 month baby girl who was born prematurely and still requires oxygen and feeding support. Ideal candidate would have some nursing experience in neonatal or paediatric areas. Role hours are 1-5 three days a week (Wednesday to Friday) and role is based in Cork City. Duties expected as part of role are as follows: 1. Preparation of milk feeds and delivery through nasal NG tube. May on occasion be required to change tube - this is typically infrequent and only needs to be replaced once every three months and is done by parents. 2. Monitoring of oxygen support. On-site concentrators within house and oxygen canisters for any walks or contingency (loss of electricity). 3. To work with child on prescribed exercises to help improve core and back muscles. 4. All other duties consistent with the care of any 15 month old child. Child is very bright and cheerful with no underlying challenges outside of those described. She sleeps solidly at night and is improving daily. Reason for carer requirement primarily down to both parents working. Very generous package offered and willing to work with right candidate in terms of hours and days to make this work best for both parties. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate looking for generous compensation in what will be a low maintenance role (candidates with the right experience in the above areas mentioned will understand this) and to be part of progressing a young child over the next few years. Location is very close to St. Luke’s Cross in Cork city and parking is available.
