Hi! I’m Ana😊 I’m Mexican and currently living in Dublin. I have 4 years of experience as a babysitter in Mexico, where I worked with children while studying for my Biotechnology degree. I recently moved to Dublin and I’m excited to continue working with children here. I’m caring, patient, responsible and creative person, and I really enjoy spending time with children both fun and meaningful and finding different ways to keep them entertained, curious and learning. I have completed a Home-Based Child Care Specialization, where I learned about child development, health and safety, and activities that support children’s learning and development. And because of my scientific background, I can prepare simple, safe and age-appropriate science experiments, sensory activities and games that encourage children to explore, ask questions and discover new things. I’m also particularly conscious of hygiene and cleanliness, including good handwashing habits and keeping food, toys and play areas clean. I think children should be able to explore, play and get creative while still having a safe and clean environment around them. I have lots of other interests that I’d be happy to share with children too. We can paint and draw, read stories, do arts and crafts, bake, play sports, practise basic piano or learn some Spanish together. I enjoy discovering what each child is interested in and using that to make our time together fun and meaningful, rather than simply keeping them occupied. I’m also happy to help with homework, school pick-ups and drop-offs, bedtime routines, meal preparation and light household tasks. I especially enjoy cooking Mexican food and baking, but if your family has favourite meals or recipes, I’d be more than happy to learn and follow them. Most importantly, I want children in my care to feel safe, comfortable, listened to and genuinely cared for. Every child is different, so I adapt my care and activities to their age, personality, needs and abilities. I also completely understand that parents know their children best. I will always respect your routines, rules and preferences, and I won’t introduce activities, foods or routines that you’re not comfortable with. I’m always happy to listen to your instructions and to know what you would like me to focus on while caring for your child. I have plenty of ideas and skills that I’d love to use to encourage children to learn, create, move, explore and be curious, but you decide what works best for your family. My priority is for both you and your child to feel happy and comfortable with the care I provide. 💛
