My name is Monike, I'm Brazilian and I'm an oil engineer. I have a younger sister who is graduating in medicine, my father is a farmer and my mother works in a state energy company in Espirito Santos, which is where I live. I decided that it was important to improve my English specially for professional matters, so I chose Ireland, as I found it is a welcoming country with a lot of culture diversity. In Brazil I worked at Petrobras it's largest oil exploration company, and with the economic crisis in the country I became unemployed. I started working as a volunteer every afternoon in a crèche for underprivileged children from one to seven years old and in the morning I took care of my neighbor's children - a boy of 1 year and a girl of 3 years old. Here in Ireland I had the opportunity to take care for two months of three children of a Japanese family, two boys and one girl, I improved my English a lot with the little ones and had a lot of fun with them. I always had a good relationship with my family and as it's a large one I have many younger cousins who I have always helped to take care of. I lived in the country side and we always play a lot outside and we had many animals on the farm - we still have 3 dogs and a horse. I have a first AID course which helped me when I took care of the children. I don't smoke and I'm very punctual with my appointment as well as very commited with every task i'm engaged in.
