Hello Everyone, I am looking for 5 lovely people to assist me with the overall care and nurturing of my two special needs boys. They are 11 years old (twins) and while they have quite a few medical issues and physical disabilities they are walking, talking, fun loving boys who have all the characteristics of their healthy peers! You may have seen our boys and our family on the DIYSOS programme in 2021... If you are an HCA or Nurse (RGN, Paediatric or Interllectual Disability Nurse) then we have full time roles that may suit you on both day and night shifts throughout the week. The roles are funded by the HSE but employment is through Agency working. As such it may suit those who are looking for just one or two shifts, random shifts or more permanent shift. More specifically we are looking for nurse(s) to accompany the boys to, during and from school. This role is part of the day shift role and can be 8 or 12 houurs. We also require nurses to cover night shifts (waking shift). All training required will be given by us along with a chance to get to know the boys before making any decision. If you are a Midwife Nurse then unfortunately HSE will not recognise you as a Nurse for homecare - only as an HCA; We are still interested in you if you have had experience with special needs children or not, if you would be prepared to work alongside another nurse as an HCA. We really need someone who is interested in playing with and stimulating the boys out of school hours and who can be present with the boys to help give me some down time. Some reading, fun games, attention is all we are asking for. So the hours here are flexible, probably 4 days a week.
