I am a professional lone parent with a busy job, looking for a caring, responsible and experienced child-carer to look after my 10 year old daughter after school several times a week along with light housekeeping and occasional dog walking. My daughter is a sensitive, loving and active 10 year old. We also have a small non-shed 5 year old dog Rosie who is a big part of our lives & home. You will be a nanny / child-carer with at least 2 years experience in nannying, child-care, au pair or babysitting work. You must love children and be mature, reliable, trustworthy, punctual and well presented. You will be required to work from lunchtime to 6pm, 2/3 days per week ( Monday & Wednesday and occasionally Friday) , with one evening a week - to be agreed on discussion. Also I will look for occasional babysitting. We are a non-smoking household and would prefer a non-smoker. Your responsibilities will include: Some cleaning, laundry and general housekeeping; Collection from school, supervision of homework; Ensuring afternoon light meal / snacks for my daughter; Walks to local park including the dog; sometimes supervision of a playdate with another child at our house; other creative activities - art, baking etc. You will need a current First Aid certificate and Garda Vetting. Experience with sensitive children is welcome. A driver’s licence is an advantage but not a requirement. I am looking for someone available to start immediately now that we are back to work / school. Please note, my daughter suffers with separation anxiety and part of what we are working on is getting her used to my going out on occasion - this means that being available one evening a week for a few hours to let me out regularly is an absolute must. Over time we would seek to extend this likely to 9.30 / 10pm once a week to get her used to going to bed without me. Its important that you are in a position to work with us on this.
