My name is Joanne. I'm enquiring on behalf of my mom, she lives in Cork city. My mom has dementia, and my dad is her main caregiver. She still maintains some of her independence - ie personal hygiene, regular attendance at active retired groups, outings with family members, and being able to drive. My dad now needs more support to take a little respite - to begin with- maybe a few hour(s) a day, 2 days or so a week. In those times my mom would need companionship, conversation, activity like a walk with a regular/same care support person.
