I’m contacting you to enquire about arranging private carer support for my father, who is currently receiving palliative care at home. He is now immobile and requires full assistance with repositioning, hygiene, and general care, particularly overnight. We are looking to arrange a minimum of two full night shifts per week (e.g. approx. 10pm–8am), to help support our existing care plan and allow family members to rest. If night care isn’t possible, we’re open to discussing full daytime shifts as an alternative, especially during mornings or evenings when his needs are greatest. We are based in Balruntagh, Co. Meath, a rural area located roughly 10 minutes from Athboy and 15 minutes from Navan. Our family has been providing structured care for several weeks, and one of us is in receipt of a carer’s allowance. We are a very supportive household with consistent routines in place. All necessary equipment is either in place or being arranged, including a medical-grade hospital bed, electric rise-recline chair, and hoist.
