Gentle, mild-mannered 87yr old gent requiring company and overwatch for several hours a few times a week in Bishopstown (Cork). Previously a singing coach and pianist, passionate about music (jazz, classical, traditional) and world affairs. Living alone since wife of 50+ years was moved into residential care in March, suffering early signs of dementia. Sharp of mind, he is mobile, though slowing, and capable of self-care. Sons/Daughters in UK/West Cork so no family close-by daily. Looking for someone of approx. 55-65 with experience in caring for elderly and preferably able discuss coping mechanisms of dealing with the transition to living alone. Initially, looking at trialling care from e.g. mid-late morning to late afternoon two days a week.
