My dad is 86 years old and was diagnosed with Glioblastoma in January of this year. At present, my sister (who lives in Killarney) and I (based in Celbridge, Co. Kildare) take turns caring for him every second week. As we both work full time, we are finding it increasingly difficult to manage his needs, which include: • Personal care – toileting, showering, changing pads, and assistance with dressing • Support with getting up in the morning and going to bed in the evening • Meal preparation – breakfast, lunch, and dinner • Medication reminders We would be very grateful for any help or support that may be available to ease the pressure and ensure he receives the care he needs. The applicant needs to be Garda vetted.
