Live-in carer needed to provide personal care. Accommodation provided free of charge in exchange for 15-20 hours per week. We are a warm and supportive family seeking a compassionate and experienced female carer to support our 47-year old sister. She requires support with personal care in the morning and evening e.g. getting changed, using bathroom, showering, doing teeth & getting organised. Our sister is a warm and sociable woman who is otherwise very independent in her daily functioning. She has a strong local social support network although she needs support to get out and engaged with her daily activities. She lives a short walk from Enniskerry village. We need a carer who would live in the house and provide regular care on a flexible basis to our sister. The position would suit somebody with experience in providing personal care and who has experience working with people with mental health difficulties. The ideal candidate is someone who is patient, calm and consistent in their approach. The accommodation provided is a double room en suite with shared use of a living area and kitchen. The terms of the arrangement could be negotiated and the priority for our family is that we identify a person who is the right fit for this position. The carer will otherwise live independently. The position may suit a carer who works in a part-time capacity in the area and needs accommodation locally. We are open to female candidates only.
