We are looking for a kind and dependable live-in nurse or experienced carer to support a 38-year-old gentleman in Portlaoise who has partial blindness and some mobility challenges. The gentleman is cheerful, polite, and easy to get along with. He enjoys spending time on his laptop and phone and attends the Wheelchair Association four days a week (Monday–Thursday, 10am–2pm). Main Responsibilities: Assist with mobility and transfers, especially at night Provide personal care and general supervision Support with medication and basic nursing needs Prepare simple, healthy meals for the client Offer companionship and help with daily activities Requirements: Nursing qualification (RGN or equivalent) or QQI/FETAC Level 5 in Healthcare Experience working with individuals with physical or complex needs A caring, patient, and trustworthy nature Good spoken English and non-smoker Desirable: Full driving licence (use of car available, though not required) Location: The home is situated close to Portlaoise town, with easy access to bus and train routes to Dublin and other areas.
