We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and suitable experienced carer to provide one-to-one support in a quiet, scent free home environment for a person living with severe Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME). Key responsibilities: 1) Support with IV medication administration and PICC line care; 2) Support with vagal nerve stimulator insertion; 3) Maintain strict infection control protocols, including regular covid testing and masking; 4) Ability and willingness to work in low-light, low noise conditions; 5) Ability to provide gentle, respectful presence with minimal verbal and physical stimulation; 6) Ability to work flexible hours - sometimes requiring 5am starts, late night finishes as well as the ability to stay overnight when needed in patient's home or in care setting. Essential and Desirable Skills: 1) Experience and training in IV administration and PICC line management; 2) Experience in vagus nerve stimulator support; 3) Understanding of and experience of working with people with severe Myalgic Encephalomyelitis and willingness to complete relevant training modules; 4) Commitment to ongoing learning around complex lines and sensory-informed care; 5) Ability to follow clinical protocols (e.g. BornFree Protocol for patients with ME) with precision and calm; 6) Fluent in English. 7) min 39 hours a week with flexibility to start early 5am and stay overnight when needed.
