Job Description: A private household in Dublin 6W is seeking a compassionate and experienced Live-In Home Carer to support an elderly woman living with Parkinson’s disease, hydrocephalus, and mobility challenges. The role involves providing person-centred care within the home, including personal care assistance, mobility support, meal preparation, medication prompts, light household duties, and companionship. The position is live-in, and the carer will have their own room. Overnight presence is required for reassurance and safety; however, paid working hours are 8 hours each day. Nights are considered “on-site presence” rather than work hours unless active care is needed. The ideal candidate will support the client’s comfort, dignity, and independence and follow established care routines. Requirements: • Experience supporting older adults and those with mobility issues • Ability to assist with personal care • Patience, compassion, and strong communication skills • Trustworthy and reliable • Eligible to work in Ireland (if already in the country) Desirable: • QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support (full or partial modules) • Experience with Parkinson’s or neurological conditions • Manual Handling and First Aid training Contract Type: Full-time, live-in, permanent Start Date: As soon as possible Accommodation: Private bedroom provided; utilities included How to Apply: Submit CV through this platform.
