We are a warm, easy-going family in Kilcock looking for a live-in au pair. This role is strictly an au pair position, not a nanny job. You will have your own private room on the second floor of the house — a quiet, bright space equipped with a desk and chair, couch, double bed, WiFi, and a 60-inch TV. We are located just a 10-minute walk from the train to Dublin (about 35 minutes by train). You will receive good pocket money for your help, and the schedule is very balanced: 3 working days per week and 4 days off. We have two children: A 5-year-old who attends school (so you will only care for one child for half the day) A 3-year-old at home Responsibilities include: Spending time with the children and engaging them in fun, age-appropriate activities Helping with homework Preparing simple snacks Tidying up play areas and the spaces used during the day Drop off to school (10' walk) After working hours, you are completely free to enjoy your time as you wish. Overtime happens only if agreed in advance — no sudden or last-minute requests. You are welcome to make full use of the house and will be treated as a normal member of the family. We respect your privacy and personal time and aim to create a comfortable, friendly environment. Regarding housework, we do not require chores. We only expect the normal, everyday things anyone living in a home would naturally do — such as putting your dishes in the dishwasher, replacing a trash bag if it’s full, or keeping shared areas tidy. Nothing more. We are looking for a social, friendly person who can stay with us for at least one year. An EU passport is required. If you’re caring, responsible, and enjoy spending time with young children, we would love to hear from you! Start Date: Late February 2026 Working hours (weekly): About 30 hours If you have other commitments, such as study or college, they must be arranged on your days off.
