Looking for an experienced special needs carer to care for our sweet 17 year old daughter Lyra. She has autism and intellectual disability. Lyra does not have complex medical needs. She has high sensory needs and limited verbal communication. She primarily likes to stay at home and enjoys crafts & sensory play. We're looking for 8 hours of care every second Saturday or Sunday (we are flexible on which day and schedule but prefer it to be the same day each weekend, 12-8pm). Lyra lives in Loughlinstown, Co. Dublin. Your responsibilities will include: Preparing meals and snacks. Play activities such as playing with playdough, making slime, and paper crafts. Light housekeeping for her room and tidying up after play and meals. You will need a current First Aid certificate and Garda Vetting. A Certificate in Child Care will also be highly regarded. A drivers license and car are preferred for potentially taking Lyra on drives or visits to local play grounds.
