Part-Time Nanny Needed – Galway City (3 Afternoons per Week) We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic nanny to mind our two daughters (aged 5 and 7) in our family home in Galway City, within walking distance (approx. 10 minutes) of their school. The role is for three afternoons per week, with school pick-up at 1:30pm and finishing around 5:30–6:00pm. We are ideally looking for someone available from January. Both parents are professionals; I work from home and have a separate office space within the house. The role involves caring for the girls in our home after school, supporting them with routine, play, snacks/dinner, and bringing them to activities when needed. Our girls are energetic, curious, and full of personality. They thrive with structure, routine, and clear boundaries, so we are looking for someone confident and experienced with children of this age. The role includes: School pick-up at 1:30pm Minding the children in our home Preparing simple, healthy snacks and/or dinner Bringing the girls to after-school activities Creating a calm, fun, and structured afternoon routine Driving experience is a plus. Our previous nanny was an additional named driver on our car insurance, which could be an option, and we also have an electric bike that can carry both girls and driver! Additional hours during school holidays or mid-term breaks would be ideal, though not essential. Our current nanny requested more weekly hours, and we were able to facilitate that as she was happy to help with housework / errands, so hours can be negotiable. We also have a dog, Bear, so applicants must be comfortable with pets. We are extremely sad to be saying goodbye to our current nanny who is movingn abroad, who has been a huge part of our family. She is more than happy to speak with prospective candidates and provide training and a handover. She finishes in January 2027.
