**Part-Time Nanny / Support Location: Dublin, Ireland We are seeking a reliable, caring, and proactive nanny / support worker to support a 19-year-old young man with mild cerebral palsy, living with his father in Dublin. The father works full-time, and the role is primarily based outside school hours, with additional flexibility required during school closures or reduced school days. This role focuses on support, engagement, and independence-building, rather than medical or intensive personal care. ________________________________________ About the Role The successful candidate will provide structured support at home and in the community, helping the young man to: • Maintain a positive daily routine • Stay physically active • Build independence through everyday tasks • Enjoy safe, meaningful activities after school ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities School-Related Support • Be present after school on weekdays • Pick up from school when required (early finishes, illness, school closures) • Provide supervision and support at home following school **Home-Based • Engage him in light household tasks (e.g. tidying, setting the table, laundry assistance) • Encourage independence and participation in daily routines • Provide calm companionship and structured activities • Prepare or serve light evening snacks as required Physical Activity & Wellbeing • Encourage regular physical activity suited to his ability • Accompany him on walks, to the gym, or for outdoor activities • Play basketball or similar activities when weather permits Community & Social Engagement • Accompany him safely to local activities and outings • Support confidence and independence in community settings General Care & Communication • Monitor wellbeing and comfort • Maintain clear communication with the parent regarding daily activities • Respect privacy, dignity, and independence at all times ________________________________________ What We're Looking For • Kind, patient, and dependable personality • Experience with disability support or special needs is an advantage • Ability to encourage independence in a respectful, age-appropriate way • Good communication and organisational skills • Garda Vetting (required) • Non-smoker preferred ________________________________________ What This Role Is Not • No medical or nursing duties • No heavy personal care • No overnight work (unless separately agreed) ________________________________________ Hours & Pay • Hours to be agreed (primarily afternoons / early evenings) • Additional hours may be available during school holidays • Competitive pay based on experience ________________________________________ How to Apply Please send a brief CV and a short note outlining your experience and interest in the role as well as Salary Expectation.
