We’re a family of four living in Blackrock, with a 7-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl, and we’re hoping to find someone to support us in the afternoons and early evenings, Monday to Thursday (provisionally 1:30–5:30pm, but can be flexible for the right person). The role is a mix of light childcare and helping keep things organised at home during that busy after-school window. It’s less about hands-on childcare and more about helping everything run smoothly – keeping routines on track, staying on top of the children’s things, and creating a calm, organised environment for them. Some Housekeeping would also be welcome. This would include things like school pick-ups when needed, bringing our son to activities (tennis, yoga, clubs), and keeping both children settled and engaged in the afternoons. Alongside that, we’d really value help with the day-to-day organisation – managing the children’s laundry, tidying toys and school bags, keeping the kitchen and living areas in order, getting clothes ready for activities and the next day, and occasionally helping us pack ahead of weekends away or holidays. We’re looking for someone reliable, proactive, and easygoing who’s happy to take initiative and get stuck in where needed. Someone who enjoys being around children but is equally comfortable keeping things organised behind the scenes would be ideal.
