Part-Time Nanny / Childcarer – Dalkey I am a self-employed single mum looking for a kind, caring and reliable nanny / childcarer to help care for my three children, aged 7 (girl), 5 (boy) and 2½ (girl), in our home in Dalkey. I am looking for someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with children and is mature, trustworthy, patient and dependable. Previous experience in nannying, childcare, au pair work or regular babysitting would be highly regarded. Hours The main hours would be Monday to Friday evenings, helping with the children's evening and bedtime routine, as well as some availability on Saturdays. There may also be opportunities for additional babysitting hours from time to time, if interested. Responsibilities would include: Helping to prepare and serve the children's evening meal Helping with bath and shower time Getting the children ready for bed Reading bedtime stories and helping to settle them Playing with and engaging the children Light tidying relating to the children and their evening routine Occasional babysitting Generally being an extra pair of hands during what can be a busy part of the day! I will usually be at home during the evening routine, so this is very much a supporting role rather than having sole responsibility for all three children every evening. About you Ideally, you will be: Caring, warm and genuinely good with children Reliable and punctual Mature and responsible Comfortable caring for children of different ages Experienced in childcare, nannying, au pair work or babysitting Garda vetted or happy to complete Garda vetting Able to provide references A driving licence, childcare qualification and First Aid training would be an advantage but are not essential. Private bedroom and bathroom available should you need to stay over any night.
