We are looking for a warm, reliable and energetic carer for our wonderful 3 year old son on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Our son is autistic and is also visually impaired. He thrives with someone who is patient, playful and enjoys creating engaging experience tailored to his interests and developmental needs. We are looking for someone who will make his mornings fun, meaningful and enriching while providing a safe and nuturing environment. Responsibilities -Provide one-to-one care for our son. - Plan and lead enjoyable, sensory-friendly activities that encourage learning, communication and play. - Take him on outings such as to the local library, toddler groups, playgrounds. - Support his independence while adapting activities to his needs. - Prepare and supervise his morning snack and lunch. - Transport him safely to his autism preschool for 1:30 pm. The ideal Candidate - Experience working with autistic children or children with additional needs is essential. - Kind, patient, energetic and genuinely enjoys helping children learn through play. - A full cleam driving licence and access to a reliable car are essential. Public transport is limited and not reliable in our area so having your own transport is a requirement for this role. - Garda vetted (or willing to become Garda vetted). - Excellent references. - First Aid qualification is desirable. Hours - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday - 9:00 am to 2:00 pm - 15 hours per week Pay Competitive rate negotiable depending on experience, qualifications and suitability.
