We are looking for a kind, patient and experienced SNA / support worker to provide one-to-one support to our teenage daughter who has autism and additional needs. This is a private support role focused on building her confidence, independence and life skills, rather than simply supervising her. You would work alongside us and follow guidance and strategies provided by her behaviour therapist. The role would involve * Supporting her to develop greater independence with everyday tasks * Helping her practise life skills at home and in the community * Accompanying her on outings and activities * Encouraging communication, choice-making and independence * Supporting her to manage changes and new experiences * Following strategies recommended by her behaviour therapist * Building a positive, trusting relationship with her * Providing calm and consistent support when she becomes overwhelmed or dysregulated We are looking for someone who is * Experienced working with autistic children/teenagers * Comfortable supporting someone with complex additional needs * Calm, patient, reliable and compassionate * Confident dealing with challenging behaviour and periods of dysregulation * Understanding of communication difficulties/non-verbal communication * Able to encourage independence while knowing when support is needed * Ideally a full driving licence and access to a car * Willing to provide references and Garda vetting If you have relevant experience and feel you could be a good fit for this role, we would love to hear from you.
