We are a professional couple living in Knightswood, Williamstown, Waterford, looking for a caring, responsible and experienced childminder to care for our 1-year-old daughter. We are ideally looking for someone who provides childcare in their own home, preferably in or around Williamstown, Ballygunner, Ballytruckle, Kilbarry, Ballybeg, Butlerstown or the Cork Road area. We are primarily looking for full-day childcare, although we are open to discussing part-time arrangements depending on availability. We also have some flexibility regarding the start date. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys caring for young children and is mature, reliable, trustworthy and attentive. Previous experience caring for babies and toddlers is important to us. Your responsibilities would include: Providing a safe, warm and caring environment for our daughter Preparing/providing appropriate meals and snacks as agreed Nappy changing and supporting her usual sleep/nap routine Age-appropriate play, reading and developmental activities Outdoor play and walks where appropriate Keeping us informed about her meals, naps, activities and general wellbeing during the day We would prefer a non-smoking household and would ask for references from previous or current families. Garda Vetting, appropriate insurance and current paediatric/child First Aid training are important. A childcare qualification and/or Tusla registration would be highly regarded.
