Part-Time Carer Wanted – Accompanied Walks for Elderly Gentleman (Longford) We are looking for a friendly, reliable carer to accompany my father (75) on outdoor walks a few times per week in Longford. Dad has undergone cancer treatment for several years and suffers from peripheral neuropathy, which affects his balance and mobility. Through regular exercise, he has made tremendous progress and can now walk for approximately 40 minutes using a wheeled walking aid. The role involves: • Accompanying Dad on outdoor walks, approximately 30–60 minutes per visit. • Assisting him when sitting down or standing up using his walking aid. • Providing supervision and reassurance in case he loses his balance. • Carrying water and allowing rest breaks as needed. Dad walks independently with his walking aid and does not normally require physical support while walking. Ideally, we're looking for someone with experience supporting older people with mobility difficulties. Reliability, patience and a friendly personality are important.
