We are looking for afternoon childcare for our two boys – a 10 year old boy and 9 year old boy. You must like children :) and be responsible, trustworthy and fun loving! They love playing outside, arts & crafts and building things. Here is some information on what life would be like here in Bray. I will try and give as much information as I can so that our new au pair can think about it before we talk. It is very important to us that our au pair is happy here. It can take a few weeks for an au pair to settle and feel comfortable but it's very important that they are feel comfortable and happy in our home and with the routine. We can be very flexible too! but I want to include everything here so there are no surprises! :) I work in full time, Monday - Friday in as a secretary in a hosptial and my husband works in IT. Our 2 boys are very different but both have a great sense of humor and are kind and respectful. One loves sports and one loves Science and both love board games and wrestling :) We would need someone to get the boys ready for school most mornings (but not all!) and walk or cycle with them to school. So the time would be from 7.15/ 7.30-8.30am. The au pair would have the rest of the morning free so they could to go to school or work somewhere else if they like or study online. We then need our au pair to mind the boys from 2.[removed]pm 4 - 5 days a week. So we would be flexible if our au pair had plans on a Friday and maybe wanted to go away for the weekend, then they wouldn't have to work that day/afternoon. :) During the afternoons it would be good if she can help the boys with homework or do something fun, creative or get them to cook or bake Or sometimes it would be nice just to be around the house so the boys can play or relax. Some weeks we might like to go out on a Wednesday evening, so a few hours babysitting would be good. So that day we would come home from 7.30 or 8pm. An occasional night at the weekend would be good too (but not every weekend or even every 2nd weekend!) and we would check with our au pair first and make sure it suits them too. I like to be upfront so that we all feel comfortable with the routine: we need someone who can cook some meals (easy ones following a recipe!) and keep the kitchen and living room clean and tidy. As we are such a busy family we need someone organised who can keep the house working well while we are at work. This schedule might not suit every au pair as some would prefer to work with younger children or not to cook, which we completely understand, so we would want someone who would enjoy this variety of children and light housework and flexibility so they can enjoy their time off to explore Ireland, learn the language and make new friends.
