Part time Carer wanted . We are looking for someone to help us care for our 21 year old son Donal who is intellectually and physically disabled. Donal is in a wheelchair and dependant on others for most aspects of daily life. For example he needs help with eating and drinking, being brought out on trips, going out in his walker, help with physio , personal care etc. Donal has a very easy gentle personality , but as you can see from the description he has high special needs. This would be a rewarding position for the right person. This position could be an ideal position for someone who is looking for some experience in special needs, physio/social worker/medical student student, or really anyone with a kind, caring personality who is interested in learning more and would like some extra regular cash. The new carer would be given full training. The candidate must be reliable and dependable. If you are interested , if you like you can chat with our current carer to hear about the position from their point of view. Ideally we are looking for a carer to cover 3 or 4 hours on a Saturday morning/ early afternoon. We live in Raheny/Kilbarrack/Bayside area. Ideally we are looking for someone who lives local, but not essential if you have good transport to get to us.
