Dear Au pair, There are six of us in the house; Jonathan and I and four great kids. Cian (18), Emilie (15), Isabelle (11) and Alex (10). We also have a dog called Blondie, who is a Bichon Frise, and two cats called Syd and Jynx. We live in Dundrum, which is a great location. There is a tram line into the centre of Dubiln that only takes 12 minutes and many buses pass through Dundrum as well. Dundrum has a large, popular shopping centre, with restaurants, a cinema and a theatre. We live in quite a big house that has a lot of space for everyone to be together or for people to find their own space if they want to be alone. Jonathan and I work Mondays to Fridays from 9am to 5pm. We need you to look after the children while we are at work. When the kids are in school that would be from 7:30am to 8:50am and from 2:30pm until we get home (normally by 6:15pm). Some evenings we might need you to work an extra hour if the children have activities. We also need you to do some household chores for one hour per day while the kids are at school, e.g. ironing the children’s clothes, tidying and hoovering their bedrooms etc. If the children are sick or on school holidays, we would need you to look after them for the whole day. Finally, we would like you to babysit one to two evenings per week, possibly on the weekend. We would like you to bring Alex to and from school and any activities. You may also need to bring Isabelle to/from school or activities on occasion. We would also like you to do their laundry and ironing, help keep their bedrooms and the house in general tidy and make their lunches and dinners.
