Hi, We are looking for a live in, or live out, au pair to start as soon as possible. We live in Greystones, Co. Wicklow and our home is only a 15-minute walk from the village. We have two children age 4 (girl) and 3 (boy). They are very friendly and well-behaved children; they are very good friends and play very well together. They love to be outdoors and running around. My husband works five days a week but I only work four days a week and on those days the children will need to be collected from school and preschool at 1pm or 2pm (depending on afterschool activities). The school is in the village and within walking distance so a driving license is not a necessity. The children’s routine will involve being brought home from school, being given lunch/snack, and being looked after in the house until we return home from work around 5.30pm. We like to have family dinners and eat all together at 6 o’clock and thus a willingness to start dinner (roast a chicken, put a prepared dinner in the oven etc) is also required. On one of the afternoons their grandparents take them out for their dinner and so they are collected about 3pm. Someone who likes to engage with and entertain children, and an advocate of healthy eating/cooking is essential. There is a requirement at times to bring the children to school in the morning also, starting at 8:45am. There are English classes locally, both in Greystones and Bray (a short bus/train ride away). As I only work a four-day week, you will have three consecutive days off over the weekend. Thus the hours will be a maximum of 30 hours with the occasionally babysitting request. We are building a new house so we may move in the next few months but it is also in the same locality and also within a 15 minute walk of Greystones so will not affect the routine in any way. We are a friendly family and will welcome a person into our house and home. We look forward to hearing from you.
