Spacious double room (not shared) available for live-in carer in Lucan, Co. Dublin— in exchange for 12 hours of home help per week. To live with low-dependence elderly woman who needs general day to day assistance. Duties to include: Bringing to ad hoc appointments Light housework Making some meals Supermarket shopping and chemist visits. General assistance and some personal care. FULL DRIVERS LICENCE ESSENTIAL There is an option to apply for carer’s allowance/benefit as the woman has already qualified for the scheme. There is use of a car for care related trips. The house is a 10 minute walk from Lucan village and 8 minute walk from a bus stop serving both the city centre and airport. Position may suit someone who is already working as a carer and doing shift work. Person must be comfortable with a cat being in the home. This post is for a genuinely caring, obliging and compassionate person. Someone who is happy to turn their hand to general care and light home tasks. .
