My husband is almost blind but in his own home and in familiar surroundings he can manage independently to get around and to deal with all his personal care needs. He relies heavily on his tv and radio for contact with his native Spain. He enjoys lively company, has enjoyed cooking and likes to chat. He does not see himself as elderly even though he is in his 70s. Loves football, going to the local pub for an hour each day and to eat out occasionally. So very little care in the traditional sense of elderly care is needed. Maybe occasional help to check tablets or find things. Someone who can speak Spanish and if they are able to deal with occasional technology issues with the tv/broadband & satellite box this would be ideal. After initial interview and introduction to my husband, he and you are happy to have a trial to establish if a good match. I would need a service only occasionally to enable me to go to UK to visit family over a long weekend or for a shorter time to visit here in Ireland.
