My name is Daniel Connell and I am currently living in Coole Co Westmeath. My experience in childcare started with my girlfriend who was also a minder caring for children in our home. It was always a joy having the kids to play and interact with so I decided to obtain a childcare position myself! In September of 2020 I was hired part time by a family to care for two children; a girl aged 6 and a boy aged 9. I also have many years of experience minding my younger sisters, one of which has special needs. I'm very passionate about these crucial years in a child's life where the positive influence of caregivers can allow them to develop skills and emotional intelligence that will stick with them for life. An environment that is considerate and loving that encourages creativity is what I stand for. Being a male childminder, it's important to have a correct balance of masculinity and femininity to become a positive male role model to a child. I'm a very competent cook that focuses on nutritional dishes that enhance vitality. In my spare time I like to practice Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and functional fitness. I am currently studying to become a CHEK Practitioner which involves holistic lifestyle coaching, nutritional consultations, stress management, infant development and functional weight training. The online flexible learning of this course allows my study to be worked around whatever my schedule may be. I am also garda vetted. I am currently amidst building my own business, so a part time childcare position suits me very well.
